About Us

Hi, Welcome To The Human Rehabilitation Project

We help practitioners rediscover what real human wellness looks like — grounded in evidence based ancestral health principles and lived experience. Our mission is to bring some common sense back to the health industry. Moving, eating, and living in ways your body was actually designed for.

My Story

My Story

As a chiropractor, I found myself working with a lot of athletes and high performers.

These weren't people looking for average health. They wanted to perform at their best, recover faster, and build bodies that could withstand the demands they placed on them. The standard wellness narratives weren't enough. They lived in a world of cutting-edge strategies, and I felt a responsibility to stay ahead of the game with them.

That search led me on an unexpected and amazing journey.

While working on my own strength and mobility, I started training with a coach who turned out to be far more than a personal trainer. He introduced me to the evolutionary biology of human movement and a completely different way of thinking about health.

We trained outdoors. Barefoot. In the heat, the cold, the wind and the rain.

The more time I spent immersed in those experiences, the more I realised how disconnected modern health advice had become from basic human biology.

That was my "aha" moment.

For the first time, I could see the bigger picture.

I began studying health through the lenses of evolutionary biology, hormesis, and epigenetics. What started as professional curiosity quickly became a personal obsession. The more I learned, the more everything seemed to connect.

What began as a search for better ways to help my patients eventually led me to something much bigger.

I realised that many practitioners aren’t suffering from a lack of information. If anything, we were drowning in it.

New protocols. New techniques. New trends.

Everyone seemed to have another answer.

What was missing was a framework for understanding health itself.

Through the lenses of evolutionary biology, epigenetics, and hormesis, I began to see health differently. Not as a collection of isolated systems and symptoms, but as an ongoing relationship between human biology and the environment we live in.

That shift changed everything for me.

It ultimately led me to sell my house and clinic so I could fully immerse myself in understanding what it means for humans to truly thrive.

The Human Rehabilitation Project was born from that journey.

Not to teach another protocol.

Not to promote another trend.

But to help practitioners and individuals develop a deeper understanding of what humans need to thrive.

When you understand the principles, you no longer need to chase every new idea. You can think more clearly, ask better questions, and make better decisions for yourself and the people you serve.

Our courses are for practitioners who know there's more to health than symptom management and who want to address the deeper drivers of resilience and wellbeing.

The good news?!

You don't have to sell your house, move into the wilderness, or take the same extreme path that I did.

The more information that is available in the health sector, the more we need a coherent framework to interpret it.

My goal is to help practitioners and individuals integrate these principles into modern life in a practical, achievable way.

What We Believe

  • Health is accessible – Chronic pain and disease are not ‘disfunction’ as such - they are predictable adaptations to mismatched environments.

  • Adaptation goes two ways – small changes in our daily environments can have profound impacts.

  • Confidence matters – practitioners need a clear, evidence based tools to help their patients thrive.

  • Knowledge is power – A framework to organise the myriad treatment protocols and health trends available today allows us to know what is noise and what is useful.

What do we do?

Our Approach

We take a practical, hands-on approach. It’s not just theory. We teach practitioners simple ways to implement movement, treatment protocols, nutrition advice and ancestral health practices to everyday practice. And yes — it’s adaptable. You don’t need to live in the wilderness to benefit from ancestral health.

Everything we offer is designed to fit the modern world, whether you’re a physical therapist, medical practitioner, movement coach or fit somewhere else in the health sector.
